Summary

GrooveLog is a personal listening diary for collectors developed by TaPps Forge. We built it to be as private as possible โ€” it works completely offline, stores all data locally on your device, and requires no account.

Data we collect

GrooveLog does not collect personally identifiable information. The app stores locally on your device:

This data never leaves your device unless you use the export feature manually.

Camera and media access

GrooveLog requests camera access solely to scan album barcodes. Captured images are not stored or sent to any server. The camera is only activated when you explicitly open it.

MusicBrainz

To identify albums by barcode, GrooveLog queries the public MusicBrainz API. These queries include the scanned barcode and may include your device's IP address per MusicBrainz's own policy. No personal information is sent.

Third-party services

GrooveLog integrates the following third-party services that may collect data under their own policies:

Children

GrooveLog is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at hello@tappsforge.com.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated periodically. We will notify you of changes by updating this page. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
